This easy paced ride is for everyone. Exercise and Fun - Fun - Fun !!!

Calling All Biker Hellions !!! Parched earth, dry creek beds, temperatures soaring above 100 ... it must be summer in Texas, and time to tune up your bike for the Hotter'n Hell Hundred. Whether we are riding the entire century (100 miles), 100K, 50-mile, or 25-mile course, this bike rally has become a Lone Star tradition. Each August on the weekend before Labor Day, we head west to Wichita Falls to test our mettle against heat, fatigue, and 10,000 other riders of all ages. Most of are recreational bikers and we do the 25 mile ride starting at 8:00 AM before it gets Hotter'n Hell. Everyone rides at their own pace. "Helmets Are Required".
![]() Since the early 1980s, Hotter'n Hell Hundred has grown to be the largest bike rally of its kind. Each year the ride attracts bike enthusiasts from around the United States and many foreign countries. And each year, a group of us drive up Friday night for the spaghetti carbo-load and trade show. We spend the night in the home of a LSSer's parents and venture out for the ride at first light. Others leave from Dallas early in the morning and make the 2-1/2 hour drive to Wichita Falls.

The Lone Star Skiers Mountain Bikers were in Steamboat Springs, CO to cruise the mountain bike trails and take in the fresh "Cool" Rocky Mountain air! Luck would have it that their trip coincided with the Colorado Micro-Brew Festival, so there was plenty of free beer to go around. Is this nirvana or what?
Those participating in this non-club trip were: Mike Hughes, Dave Glodo, Pattricia Boykin, Bev Anderson, Terye Rhoden and Barbara Hughes.
